Drawing upon the ethereal concepts of spring awakening and rebirth, Jacqueline Hosford brings her sophisticated touch to 2017’s 10th Anniversary Holiday House NYC in creating a sitting room that steps inside a gilded egg and presents an “inside-out” view of a perennial-inspired spring holiday.

Set in a color palette of dusty lavender, muted grays and a suite of delicate jewel tones, Hosford’s “Spring Dawn” turns less than one hundred square feet into a serene nest inviting visitors to become immersed in sophisticated luxury and a renewed sense of self. Wrapped in the floral extravagance of Création Baumann’s “Artemisia” fabric, the centerpiece of Hosford’s third-floor sitting room is a stunning large scale, one of a kind custom glass panel created by New York decorative artist, Ani Brieger.  Adding a sense of eclectic luxury, a pair of Mid Century Bergamo Italian chairs from Amy Zook Antiques sit beneath a Vistosi five-tier Murano glass chandelier from Cosulich Interiors & Antiques to create a seating vignette accented by Niermann Weeks’ silver patina “Purcell” table. A hand-knit silk rug, along with slim columns, thoughtful ceiling and molding details all work to enhance the soulful and refreshing mood that defines this unique and intimate space.

About Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC:

It should come as no surprise that Jacqueline Hosford - Owner & Principal Designer of New York City-based Jacqueline Hosford Interior Design, LLC - has a keen eye for elegant and graceful interior design. A classically trained ballet dancer, Hosford is light on her feet in bringing a style of design to life that marries traditional elements with a fresh, distinctly modern sensibility. For over a decade her firm has been working with clients throughout the greater New York region on residential and commercial projects ranging from simple design refreshes to architecturally driven construction and renovation.  Drawing upon what is often described as an “innate theatrical flair”, she strives to see spaces beyond mere décor and to craft soulful environments that speak to the way their residents live on a daily basis, as well as to their own – perhaps unspoken - dreams and lifestyle ambitions. As a past President of the New York Metro Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Hosford is active within her local community in working to improve and care for public spaces. As an educator at SUNY Purchase, Hosford is bringing her lively and unique worldview to a new generation of aspiring interior designers.
