LOFT KITCHEN, WEST VILLAGE, MANHATTAN, NY

This entirely custom kitchen was designed with kids in mind. Every cabinet—inside and out— was conceived thinking about how the kids could participate: from easy reach for sippy cups to stowaway places for toys. Tall base boards were installed throughout this open loft like apartment specifically to align with the 6" cabinetry kick space— which are all drawers.

Adults too: the tall pantry to the right side of the refrigerator opens from the stove-facing side for cooking-convenient access to condiments, spices and jars of organic grains.
